A Teknősök szigete - Turtle Island
Már több, mint két hete Thaiföldön vagyunk! Furcsán gyorsan telnek a napok. Phill rögtön belevetette magát a búvároktatásba, aminek eredménye képpen hat fiatalnak a búvárigazolványában már az ő neve szerepel, mint oktató!
Közben lett egy lakásunk, ahol szinte első pillanattól kezdve otthon érezzük magunkat! Van konyhánk egy rezsóval, egy kis nappalink meg egy óriási teraszunk az eddigi háló-fürdő mellett.
Koh Tao vagy másnéven a Teknősök szigete igazi búvárparadicsom. Én erről az oldaláról egyelőre nem ismerem, de Phill látott egy bébi bálna-cápát, úgy 3,5-4 méteres volt! Ez volt az egyik álma, hogy ilyent lásson.
Aztán úgy tűnik, hogy kicsit túlerőltette magát, így Phillnek most egy kis pihenőt kell tartania, mert kiment a térde.
Koh Taon három falu található, mi a kikötőhöz legközelebbiben Mae Haadben lakunk, a sziget délnyugati felén. Az úton ha megyünk mindenhol vastag kötegekben mennek a vezetékek! A víz tartályokban van mindenhol, viszonylag vékony csövekben érkezik a víz a házakhoz. Egy ilyen eltörését épp mi vettük észre, azt hiszem, a heti jó cselekedetem ez volt, hogy szóltam a szomszédos jég készítő üzemben, hogy baj van!
Mióta itt lakunk már ötször főztünk, volt látogatóban egy macska és egy kutya is, aki nem is akart kimenni nagyon, láttunk az út mellett csirkéket minden féle méretben, de egy nagy disznót is!
Azt hiszem, a leghihetetlenebb dolog, hogy már két magyar párral is találkoztunk. Phill szerint különleges érzékem van hozzá, hogy megtaláljam őket!
We are here in Thailand already more than for two weeks. Somehow the days are going pretty fast here. Phill started his diving instruction immediately and as a result six young divers has his name standing on their dive card as their instructor.
In the meantime we got an apartment, where we feel ourselves at home since the very first moment. We have a kitchen with one hob, a small living room area and a huge balcony beside the bed- and bathroom what we only had before.
Koh Tao or the Turtle Island is a real diving paradise. I cannot really say anything about it, but Phill saw a baby whale shark, which was around 3,5-4 meters long! This was one of his dream to see one.
But then it seems like he overdone a bit and his knee went out... Now he has to take some break.
In Koh Tao there are three villages, we are staying in Mae Haad which is the closest to the pier on the south-west side of the island. If you go anywhere on the roads the electric cables are going beside you in big bunches. The water is in big blue tanks and the water is coming to your house in quite narrow pipes. Once we just saw how this plastic pipe got broken and I think I got my brownie point for the week, that I rushed to the ice factory next door, that there is a problem with their pipe.
Since we moved in we cooked five times, we had a cat and a dog visited our flat, the doggy didn't really want to leave, we saw all size of chickens next to the road and even a big pig as well.
I think the most unbelievable thing is that we met already two Hungarian couples. Phill believes I have a special sense to find Hungarians!
