Koh Samui
Miután Phill kényszerpihenőn van elhatároztuk, hogy elmegyünk egy mini-vakációra a két órányi kompútra lévő Koh Samui szigetére.
A hajón kicsit meglepődtem, hogy egyből a tengeri betegség elleni gyógyszert nyomták a kezembe. Felmentünk a nyitott fedélzetre és pont a hajó közepére ültünk, hogy reméljük, jól leszek. Nagyon kellett koncentrálni, de végül nem volt semmi bajom!
Koh Samui igazi üdülő sziget, a belföldi járatok egymást érik. A víz színe olyan, mint a Balaton! Hosszú tengerpart, sok üdülő központtal. Az egyik ilyenben találkoztunk Norbival, aki régi kollégám volt Budapesten. Nagyon örömteli ismerősökkel találkozni, olyan kicsit mint egy időutazás!
Furcsa hogy ezen a másik szigeten mennyivel több árufajta található, illetve hogy legalább 30%-kal olcsóbb minden. Viszont a taxi, az éttermek igazi nagyvárosi árak!
Csak egy éjszakát töltöttünk itt, de elég kalandos lett a hazajövetelünk. A kikötőben ugyanis közölték, nem megy hajó Koh Taora. De a katamarán a másik kikötőből három perc múlva indul. Phill a térdével nem tud futni, gyorsan újabb taxi a kb 500 méteres útra (1600 Ft) és csodák csodájára elértük! Phill rámnézett, vedd be a tegnapi gyógyszert, ez nem lesz sima út... Az első szakaszt még jól bírtam, de a hosszabb másodikat sajnos nem... Nem kívánom ezt senkinek...
Mikor végre újra szilárd talaj volt a lábam alatt, akkor úgy döntöttünk az lesz a legjobb, ha én hazasétálok, Phill meg jön a robogóval. Mikor hazaértem, láttam Phill üzenetét, hogy a robogónk eltűnt, megy a rendőrségre. Aztán kiderült, hogy egy teherautó elsodort vagy 10 robogót, köztük a miénket is, így több forduló után végül egy másik kölcsön robogóval jött haza Phill.
Fura egy nap volt, de szerencsésen minden megoldódott és végre itthon vagyunk.
Since Phill is on a "forced" rest we decided to go for a mini holiday to Koh Samui, which is a big island two hours ferry ride away.
I got a bit surprised on the boat, once we got on board everybody got a sea sick tablet. We went up on the open deck and sit exactly to the middle of the boat and hoped that I will not get sick. I had to concentrate a lot, but luckily I was not sick at all!
Koh Samui is a real holiday destination. The colour of the water reminds me to the Lake Balaton in Hungary. It has a long beach with lots of resorts. In one of the resort we met with my ex-colleague, Norbi, from Budapest. I was so pleased that we met him, if you meet on your trip with some friends it is always like travelling back in time.
It is very strange that on the island you can get so many different kind of products and these are at least 30% cheaper than in Koh Tao. But the taxi rides, the restaurants has a price as in a big city...
We spent here only one night, but the way back home was pretty adventurous. We were told in the port that no ferry is going to Koh Tao on that day. But there is a catamaran which is leaving in three minutes from the other port if we want to reach that. Phill was not able to run with his knee, so we got a taxi for this 500 meters distance (5 pounds) and like a miracle we managed to catch it. Phill was looking at me very seriously and told me took the sea sick pill what I got yesterday because this will be a rough ride... The first part of the trip was OK, but the second longer part unfortunately not... I don't wish this to anybody...
Once I had solid ground under my feet we decided that would be the best if I am going on foot home and Phill coming home with the scooter. When I got home I saw Phill's message that our scooter disappeared, so he is going to the police station. Then it turned out that a truck was crashed around 10 scooters, one of them was ours. After some discussion between the owner and the police Phill was coming home with another rented scooter.
It was a strange day, but luckily everything got sorted and we are at home.
