Bátorság! - Be brave!
Nem hittem volna, hogy egyszer eljön ez a nap, amikor majd úgy fogok tudni rendelni Thaiföldön ételt, hogy lesz, ami lesz, kipróbáljuk!
Itt Surat Thaniban nem sok angol nyelvű kiírással találkozunk, így a délutáni pihenőmet a thai írás vizsgálatára fordítottam. Úgy gondolom, a sült rizst most már fel tudom ismerni, illetve a Pad Thai-t csak megértik, így nem lehet gond.
Ezt a kis folyóparti éttermet már első este kiszúrtuk, hogy ide eljöhetnénk egyszer. Így is lett, elmentünk és megkezdődött a legintenzívebb thai nyelvleckénk. Még jó, hogy rendelésben egész jó szókincsünk van, de használtuk a mobilinternet adta lehetőségeket, amikor a bonyodalmak kezdődtek. Én végül a menü viszonylag kevés képes ajánlata alapján rendeltem, persze egész más volt a tányéron látva, de nem lőttem mellé! Phill biztonsági játékot folytatott, de a tészta, amit kapott nem volt a kedvencünk. Viszont éhen nem maradtunk!
I didn't believe that in one day I can order a food in Thailand without worrying at all and think, we will see what we get.
Here in Surat Thani you cannot find too many English signs, so I spent my afternoon rest to examine the Thai written language. I think I can recognise on a menu the fried rice and come on they should understand if we say Pad Thai, so we should not have any problem.
We have seen this riverside restaurant on our first day and we decided that we should try it. So we did and at the same time our most intensive Thai language class was started. It is lucky that in ordering we are quite confident in Thai, but we used the advantages of the mobile internet as well when it started to get complicated.
I ordered based on the few picture the menu had, of course what I received on my plate it was something different, but it was a good choice. Phill decided to play safe, but the noodle was not our favourite. But none of us remained hungry!
