Gáton innen és túl - Dam-dam-dam
Mikor szóba került, hogy megyünk Vietnámba a Halong-öböl mindenképp a listánk tetején szerepelt. Aztán még szerencse, hogy Stephan szólt, nézzük meg az időjárást, mert bár délen trópusi meleg várható, északon max 14 fok. Hát akkor nem megyünk döntöttük el szomorúan, mert nincs elég meleg holmi nálunk.
Aztán mikor Surat Thani látnivalóit nézegettük, egyszer csak, mintha az az öböl tárult volna a szemünk elé. Nem volt könnyű megtalálni, de kiderült, hogy 70 km-re van a várostól a Ratchaprapa gát, ami létrehozta a Chew Lan mesterséges tavat, hogy árammal lássa el a tartományt és szemet gyönyörködtető szigeteket hozzon létre.
Nagyon izgatottan vártuk az utazást, amit egy irodán keresztül bonyolítottunk. A végén egy privát csónakban indultunk vezetőnkkel a tó különleges világát felfedezni.
Meredek sziklafalak, mindenhol növények, magányosan a vízből kilógó fatörzsek, lebegő hotelek, magasan körző sasok és mi a csónakunkban.
When we decided to go to Vietnam the Halong Bay was on the top of our list. Then it was lucky that Stephan mentioned to check the weather for January, although on the South it will be tropical warm, in the North maximum 14 degree we can expect. Our heart was broken a bit to say no then for this visit, because we don't have sufficient warm clothes with us.
Then we started to plan our Surat Thani trip and we were looking for sights when once a picture turned up which looked almost like that beautiful bay.
It took for a while until I found out what is this place exactly, but it turned out the Ratchaprapa Dam is 70 km away from Surat Thani. It was created the Chew Lan artificial lake to provide electricity for the province and form amazing islands.
We were looking forward so much for this trip, which was finally organised through a travel agency. At the end we have found ourselves in a private long tail boat to explore the magical world of the lake.
Steep rock walls, everywhere plants, lonely wood trunks standing in the water, floating bungalows, eagles on the sky and us in our boat.
