Sydney: Második felvonás - Second Act
Visszatértünk Sydneybe öt napra, amit Phill másodnagybátyjával Michaellel és feleségével Tinaval töltöttünk. Ezt a kifejezést, hogy másodnagybáty meg kellett néznem az interneten. Szóval Phill anyukájának az unokatestvérénél voltunk és remekül éreztük magunkat. Csodálatos helyen laktunk a Mosman városrészben. Én a magam részéről rengeteg újat tanultam, mert Michael egy nagy mesélő. A városban talán kevesebbet nézelődtünk, de nagyon jó volt ennyi ideig nem folyamatos mozgásban lenni. Én a gasztronómia területén is nagy utazást tettem, mert sok olyan ételt kóstoltam meg, amit előtte nem vagy csak talán egyszer régen ettem. Ilyen volt a bárány kotlett, a perzsa lebna, ami egy friss krémsajtra hasonlít, a mangó és a maracuja és a koriander. Tényleg nem egyszerű új ízeket megismerni, de megér egy próbát biztosan, főleg ha azt az ételt szeretettel készítik.
Ami Michaelt és Tinat illeti, nagyon aktív életet élnek 70 felett is. Ami viszont a legjobb a nyitottságuk, mosolyuk, befogadásuk.
Phill találkozott más rokonaival is, másodunokatestvérekkel, másodnagynénivel, valakivel több, mint 25 éve nem találkozott, valakivel még soha.
Érdekes érzés, hogy itt a Föld túloldalán is van családunk, ahova tartozunk.
We have returned to Sydney for five days, which we spent with Michael and his wife Tina. Michael is a first cousin once removed to Phill. I would tell a lie if I said I have ever heard this expression before, so it means he is Phill's mum, Mary's cousin. We had a fabulous time there. We stayed at the Mosman Bay, which is a beautiful place. I learnt so many now things because Michael is a great story teller. We were wondering around maybe less in the city, but we enjoyed very much that we didn't have to move in and out after every other day. I did a big travel in gastronomy as well, I tried so many new food or flavours, which I never did before or did it maybe once. These were the lamb cutlets, the Persian Lebna, which is like a fresh cream cheese, the mango and the passionfruit and the coriander. I have to say it is not easy to taste new flavours, but it worth to give a go, specially if that food was made with love.
Tina and Michael are living a very active life above their 70's as well. But what was the nicest is their openness, smile and acceptation.
Phill met with some other relatives as well, second cousins, Michaels's sister, some of them he haven't seen for 25 years, some of them he met first.
It is an interesting feeling that we have family on the other side of the Earth, where we belong.
