Első napok Lanzarote-n - First days in Lanzarote

Utazunk újra! Igazából nem új az élmény, mert egy éve ilyenkor még a nagy utazásunk végső, mindent elsöpő felvonásán voltunk, de most már egy jó pár hónapja nem utaztunk el egy hétre. Ez azért mindig más érzés. Főleg most, hogy február van és bár nagyon nem panaszkodhattunk az eddigi tél miatt, most tényleg a nyárba érkeztünk.

Phill mondta is az utunk elején, nincs ez rendben, hogy otthon is 18 fok volt, hogy lesz így nagy kontraszt, de amikor kiszálltunk a gépből és a 26 fok megérintette az arcunkat, azért az nem volt semmi.

Nem készültem fel erre az útra rendesen, ezért remélem, majd a következő napokban sikerül kicsit jobban megismernünk a Kanári-szigeteket, legfőképp Lanzarote-t, ahol időnket töltjük.

Szeretek megérkezni, kipakolni a holmikat a táskából, nyári ruhába átöltözni és először indulni körülnézni. Nézem az embereket, sok brit, idős, családos ember van, vannak fiatalok is elvétve, de azért a többség a nyugdíjas korosztály. Jó beszívni az óceán sós levegőjét, én még a naptej illatát is szeretem. Vizsgálom a növényeket, a különféle kaktuszokat, a fekete földet, a hófehér házakat, a hamisítatlan nyaralás hangulatát.

Nyár van! Fagyizunk, tapicskolunk a vízben. Puerto del Carmen, itt vagyunk!

We are travelling again. To tell the truth it is not a new experience, as a year ago we were still on our big trip just reaching that unforgettable last scene, but we were not away for quite a few months for a whole week. This is always a different feeling. Specially as it is February now and I have to say we cannot complain at all about our winter, but we arrived to the summer.

Phill told me at the beginning of our trip, something is not right, that back in Scotland we had 18 degree, how he will feel the contrast then? But when we got out from the plane and the 26 degree was touching our face, that was incredible.

I was not prepared for this trip, so I hope in the next few days we will manage to get know better the Canary Islands, specially Lanzarote, where we spend our week.

I like arriving to a new place, packing out my bag, change to summer clothes and going to look around for first time. I am looking at the people, there are many British, older people, families, there are a few young ones as well, but the majority are pensioners. It is great to breath in the salty air of the Atlantic Ocean, I even like the smell of the suncream. I am exploring the different plants, the cactus’, the black soil, the snow white houses the unmissable feeling of the holiday.

It is summer! We are eating ice-cream, paddling in the water. Puerto del Carmen, here we are!
