Miért éppen Skye? - Why to Skye?

Ha megkérdezed, érdemes-e Skye-ra eljönni a válasz igen egyszerű, mindenképpen.

Ami nekem a legfontosabb volt a szálláshelyünk kiválasztásánál, az a hihetetlenül szép kilátás, ami minden szobából várt ránk. Lehetett akármilyen az idő, mindig gyönyörű és változatos volt. Ne ijesszen meg, ha esőt jósolnak egy hétre, itt az idő olyan gyorsan változik, hogy lehet csak pár kilométerrel arrébb kell menni és ott már süt a nap vagy legalább nem esik.

Ha tavasszal jössz, lehet a virágok nem teljes pompájukban virágoznak még, mint a szárazföldön, de legalább kétszer láthatod a korai tavaszi virágokat. A kisbárányok időszaka van, ennél aranyosabb dolgot el se tudsz képzelni, ahogy ott játszanak az út mellett. Nem látsz naponta csomó embert, autóból néha a szűk utakon összegyűlik egy akár 7-8 autóból álló konvoj, de a természet hangja fog még így is dominálni. Van kakukk, ami éjjel nappal szól, láttunk sasokat, őzikéket. Említettem már, hogy bárányokat is lehet találni úton-útfélen éppen legelni a bokrodat, picikéket illetve olyan szökevényeket is, akik meglógtak a tavalyi nyíráskor és most óriási bundában szaladgálnak?

Üldözheted a naplementét. És az eddigi legjobb fagyit ettem Nagy-Brittaniában, Portree-ban.

If you ask is it worth to visit Skye, the answer is very simple, definitely.

For me the most important was, when we chose our accommodation, that it has this exceptional beautiful view, what we could see from every room. The weather could be anything, but the view was always pretty and vary. Don't get frightened if the forecast shows rain for a whole week, the weather changes here so quick, you may need to travel a  few miles and there will be sunshine or at least no rain.

If you come at springtime, the flowers maybe not in their best appearance as on the mainland, but you can see at least twice the early spring flowers. It is the lambing season, you cannot imagine any cutest thing as they are playing along the roads. You don't see too many people, cars, sometimes at the single track roads comes together 7-8 cars and it is passing you together as a convoy, but the sound of the nature will be dominant always. We had cuckoo, they sing night and day, we saw eagles, deer. And have I mentioned sheep as well, who eat your bushes, incy-wincy ones and runaway ones, who escape from the last year shearing and now running in an enormous fur?

You can chase the sunset. And I had the best ice-cream in the UK so far in Portree.
